Structures and light are the central elements of the works in Nebel's series "architecture". The large-scale use of glass in architecture allows transparency in the physical sense. It creates space for life and work. Barriers are removed, lightness and openness are intended.

These works - like most photographs of Nebel - were created in different cities around the world. Even if the gigantic office buildings seem interchangeable, differences in the integration into the cityscape as well as in the design show partial subtle, partly significant cultural differences.
